New defences put up
Floods in Bewdley
Bewdley has flooded several times in recent years
Worcester's new temporary flood barriers have been put up.

But pumps have been brought in to remove water that appears to be seeping through.

The A443 Hylton Road was shut during this morning's rush hour to enable engineers to carry out the work and remains closed.

Flood warnings for the River Severn at Worcestershire are in force with a severe warning issued for Bewdley and Stourport, where levels are expected to peak on Saturday afternoon.

A flood warning for the Severn from Bevere to Powick remains in place.

Areas along the River Wye in Herefordshire between Hay and Hereford, have been given the all-clear by the Environment Agency.

Flood warnings remain in force along the section between Hereford and Ross, where a number of roads are shut.
