Regular customers book a table only if Crispie will be visiting the restaurant |
A duck has become a main attraction at a restaurant in Hampshire - as a visitor, the owner has said. Crispie, an Aylesbury duck, has become a regular fixture at The Mill at Gordleton in Hordle, near Lymington, restaurant owner Liz Cottingham said. She was adopted by Terri Seabright, The Mill's manager, in August 2007 when her mother abandoned her. Ms Cottingham said: "I have people calling to book a table and asking, 'Is Crispie going to be there?'" She added: "When I say no, they say they will come tomorrow instead. "Crispie is really cute and little kids just adore her. "Terri has to leave half an hour before she intends to because people just keep stopping her to talk to the duck."
