Young climber eyes new challenge
Rhys Jones
Rhys Jones has raised thousands of pounds for charity
A climber who became the youngest person to scale the highest peaks on the seven continents is heading to Greenland for his next adventure.

Rhys Jones, of Cadnam, Hampshire, completed the Seven Summits Challenge in May last year.

The 21-year-old has now secured sponsorship to tackle a new challenge which combines climbing and sailing.

In August he will fly to Iceland then sail to Greenland where he will climb the country's three highest peaks.

Rhys climbed Mount McKinley in Alaska, when he was 17, to become the youngest Briton to reach the top.

He has also scaled Kilimanjaro in Africa, Kosciusko in Australia, Aconcagua in South America, Elbrus in Russia and Vinson in Antarctica.

His Everest climb raised nearly 30,000 for a local charity Wessex Heartbeat.
