A toilet block is re-opening after a 400,000 revamp, with new features that include an attendant on hand to regularly change "themed" music. The block, on Clarence Esplanade, Southsea, Hampshire, closed for the major refurbishment last November.
A council spokesman said he hoped the loos, now open 24 hours, would be seen as a "flagship" block of excellence.
He said he hoped the changing musical styles would make a visit there an enjoyable part of a seafront trip.
"Police were closely involved in the design of the building to make the toilets as clean and safe an environment as possible," the spokesman said.
