Insurance firm creates 300 jobs

Up to 300 new jobs are to be created in Gloucester after an insurance company based in the city announced two new business contracts.

Fortis, which has an office in Brockworth, is to handle motor and household insurance for Tesco Bank and motor insurance for Toyota GB.

A company spokesman said the new jobs would be in customer claims.

"These two significant relationships are a very positive development for the business and local economy," he added.

Recruitment for the jobs will take place over the coming months.
