Princess Michael of Kent has described being duped by a fake sheikh as "fair game", adding, "I thought 'How lovely, they won't paint the house purple'". An undercover journalist from the News of the World feigned interest in buying her Gloucestershire home Nether Lypiatt last month.
The 60-year-old Princess allegedly made a string of unflattering remarks about the Royal Family to the reporter.
Princess Michael said: "I laugh in time. I really liked them."
The early 18th century Grade I listed manor house in the Cotswolds, has eight bedrooms, four staff apartments, three barns, garaging and stabling for nine horses, plus gardens, grounds and paddocks.
