Britons with almost �20,000 to spare can guarantee themselves a white Christmas this year. A company that provides winter effects for the film and television industries has launched a version for the home.
The White Christmas package, from Gloucestershire-based Snow Business, aims to create a winter wonderland.
A paper-based product called SnowCel is used to create fake snow on the ground, shrubs, trees, window sills and the roof of the house.
'Shed or palace'
Special machines that spray large volumes of dry foam are supplied to mimic falling snow at the flick of a switch.
The winter scene is finished off with frost on the windows and icicles hanging from the drainpipes.
The full package is delivered, maintained and taken away by Snow Business, which has provided fake snow for movies including The Day After Tomorrow and Bridget Jones' Diary.
It is being offered on the website lastminute.com for �19,187.75.
Prospective buyers are told: "Whether you live in a shed or a palace, a white Christmas is guaranteed."
