Prisoner absconds at health check

A prisoner absconded while having a health check in Dorset.

The 26-year-old prisoner of HMP Dorchester was being assessed at the Forston Clinic, in Dorchester, on Tuesday evening when he went missing.

He managed to jump a fence and made off. Police officers used a helicopter and search dogs to track him.

The man, who has not been named, was found at a private address in Weymouth and was returned to jail after being missing for two hours.
