Final decision on pavilion revamp
Weymouth Pavilion
Weymouth Pavilion is set to be refurbished under the plans
A final decision is to be taken on plans to transform Weymouth Pavilion and ferry terminal site in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.

A refurbished theatre, a four-star hotel, a new ferry terminal building, a World Heritage visitor centre and a 400-space car park are among the plans.

People opposed to the project will have an opportunity to voice their concerns at the beginning of Thursday's meeting.

The area is hosting the Paralympic and Olympic Games sailing events in 2012.

The borough council said the planned revamp forms part of the wider regeneration of Weymouth and Portland, both as a seaside resort and an Olympic venue.
