Thousands of people are expected to descend on Reading, Berkshire, this weekend for the annual WOMAD festival. More than 80 acts from 40 countries are due to perform over the three days of the World of Music Arts and Dance festival at Rivermead.
The family-friendly event is in its 17th year and music from around the globe will be performed on seven indoor and outdoor stages.
Thames Valley Police have warned revellers to keep possessions safe.
Already 33 thefts have been reported since the festival started at 1400 BST on Thursday.
John McNicholas, crime reduction adviser, said: "We have been astonished by the amount of valuables people have brought to the site which are not entirely necessary for the time spent there."
