Beachside garage to fetch 50,000
The garage
Estate agents say the garage could fetch up to 70,000
A semi-detached garage in an exclusive beachside area has gone on sale with a guide price of 50,000.

Estate agents expect the freehold plot on the Sandbanks peninsula, in Poole, Dorset, to fetch anything between 30,000 and 70,000.

Mount Mews garage - which is in the world's fourth most expensive place to live in - comes with a driveway, parking area and a mains water tap.

A spokesman for the sellers said it offered "much sought-after parking".

It is thought someone already living in Sandbanks might want the garage for extra space for family or visitors.

It cannot be developed into a residential property.

Tanya Wicks, office co-ordinator at Savills estate agents in Canford Cliffs, Poole, said: "Sandbanks is the most expensive area per square foot in the UK and obviously parking specifically is very scarce on the peninsula.

"When something like this comes up, it's a really great opportunity."

Offers in writing are invited to be made on the garage by 4 July.

Recent research revealed Sandbanks to be the country's most expensive seaside resort, with the average property selling for 531,280.
