Queen Elizabeth's School in Wimborne, Dorset, is to be completely rebuilt on its current site by 2008.

A workshop was held for students, staff and project backers to develop ideas for what will be the county council's biggest schools building project.

Earlier this year, the 1,300-strong school was ranked by the council as the most in need of replacement.

Headteacher Andy Puttock said students would be "among the most significant influences in defining the vision and brief" for the new-look school.

Year 10 student Ben Randall said of the workshop: "It's been great to have the opportunity to say what we would like to see and have in our new school to make it a better place."
