The Dorset village is Prince Charles' vision of the ideal rural community |
Residents are to help draw up plans that will shape the future of Prince Charles' model village in Dorset. People in Dorchester will submit their views on the type of buildings to be built in Poundbury, over the next 10 years, at a meeting on Thursday.
The talk will guide planning decisions, said West Dorset District Council.
Last year, residents celebrated after a developer's appeal over rejected plans for a controversial block of flats was dismissed by the planning inspector.
Robert Gould, leader of West Dorset District Council, said: "Building work started on the Poundbury development just over 10 years ago and now there are about 1000 residents plus 650 people working there.
"We want to make sure that local people and organisations have the opportunity to get involved as early as possible in planning Poundbury's future."
