A green haven earmarked to become the "gateway" to Dorset's Jurassic Coast is set to undergo a transformation. Locals and visitors are being urged to have their say on the future management of Durlston Country Park, near Swanage.
County council chiefs are drawing up blueprint plans to bring the 19th century Durlston Castle back into full use as well as improving park access.
Keen to receive public feedback, they are laying on a free bus to bring people in to have their say.
Lottery funding
The shuttle bus will run from Swanage to the park from 20 August until 15 September.
The full management plan - which also looks at parking, future events and transportation - will be on show at the park's visitor centre from the end of the month.
A bid for lottery funding will be made to revamp Durlston Castle, which was completed in 1887.
Martin Cooke, Durlston Castle business manager, said: "With the recent award of World Heritage Status for the Jurassic Coast and the lease becoming available for Durlston Castle, there are all kinds of possibilities opening up and we would welcome the public's thoughts on our plans for the future."
