Police ask local businesses to help fight antisocial behaviour
Extra police will patrol the streets of Poole over the weekends proceeding Bonfire night and Halloween.

Officers will also visit off-licenses and shops to reinforce legislation regarding the sale of fireworks to underage youths.

Parents of trick or treaters are advised to plan the nights in advance, accompany their children, and only call on friends, family or neighbours.

Police said: "We will not tolerate any form of anti-social behaviour."

Under the new Fireworks Regulations Act 2004, it is an offence for under 18s to buy, or have fireworks in their possession.

Insp Henley said: "It is important that local businesses support us in our fight against anti-social behaviour.

"They are the people that can help us prevent the problem before it begins."

Tower Park, Canford Heath, Parkstone, Oakdale and Upton are the key areas that officers will concentrate on, following reports of antisocial behaviour in previous years.
