Crash investigators have been examining the wreckage of a plane which crashed next to a packed theme park, killing one man and badly injuring two others. The plane was attempting to return to Bournemouth Airport after getting into difficulties shortly after take off.
Robert le Page and Dave Bougourd were badly burned when the plane burst into flames and remain critically ill in intensive care.
Both men, and the dead man who has not been named, were from Guernsey.
The Tobago light aircraft came down near the southwest corner of the airport - 20 yards from the entrance to the Alice in Wonderland theme park, which was packed with about 400 children. A family friend of Mr Bougourd confirmed that the three men had flown from Guernsey to Bournemouth International Airport and were on their way to a vintage aircraft event at Henstridge Airfield in Somerset.
Rachel Rumens, 22, said: "He's in a critical condition.
"It's pretty much the same as yesterday."
Mr Bougourd, in his fifties, works as an air traffic control assistant at Guernsey Airport, an airport spokesman confirmed.
It is believed that Mr Le Page is a 54-year-old architect from St Peter Port and was believed to be flying the plane.
His wife was said to be at his side in hospital.
