Child used by burglaries couple
Burglar
The man has been trying to break in through the back of the house
A couple have been using a child to carry out distraction burglaries in Hampshire, police have warned.

A woman has been knocking on several doors with the youngster, saying she was "looking for the child's ball".

While she kept the homeowner talking her partner was breaking into the back of the house.

Havant police say they want to keep residents informed about the new methods burglars have been trying to use to gain access to their homes.

They recommend locking back doors and windows before answering the front door.
