A new skate park in Devon is being officially opened on Saturday. The 160,000 facility at Plymouth's Central Park consists of a series of concrete ramps and slopes close to the Mayflower Leisure Centre.
The park, which was built after a 100,000 grant from Sport England, has actually been open for some weeks and has already proved popular.
The event will also give an opportunity for skate park users to let the city council know what they think of it.
People are also being asked to use the opening as a chance to suggest ways in which it might be improved.
The official opening will see demonstrations by the Flatspot Skate Team, basketball coaching and live music.
