A Devon university claims it is becoming increasingly popular with international students. The University of Plymouth says 50% of its internet enquiries each month are from potential overseas students.
A record number of them from Europe, Nigeria, India and Pakistan, have registered for its open days.
Prospective international students are interested in a range of courses, with nursing one of the most popular, the university claims.
Around 1,000 of the university's 30,000 student population comes from overseas.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Roland Levinsky, has set a target of recruiting 1,700 students by 2007, saying they are great ambassadors for the city.
The Plymouth, Exeter and Exmouth campuses are open on Saturday, with the Truro and Taunton campuses open to potential students on Wednesday.
