Residents quizzed about park plan
People living near a Derby park are being asked how they would like to see it improved.

Grants worth more than 150,000 are being made available for developing Osmaston park.

Questionnaires are being sent to about 3,000 people who live near the park who are also being asked to get involved in the revamp.

The plans include play equipment, an outdoor stage, a community and wildlife garden and a fitness trail.

Councillor Paul West, cabinet member for leisure and cultural services said: "We aim to develop Osmaston Park into a vibrant community asset and are working to find ways of attracting more visitors to the park.

"This is a people's park, so we need to ask people what their priorities are."

Improved lighting has also been highlighted as a problem which will be addressed.
