An independent Derbyshire school threatened with closure has been saved by a consortium of businessmen. It was expected that St Elphin's, in Darley Dale, would close at the end of the summer term.
However, the consortium has vowed to invest money in facilities to attract more pupils.
In April, the school suffered a blow when plans to raise money by building 30 new houses on the grounds was rejected by councillors.
However, the school has since come out of administration and potential students are already being invited in for open days and taster sessions.
