A driver who was jailed for not paying a speeding fine says he will go back inside rather than pay up. Ernie Harbon, from South Normanton in Derbyshire, was released on Monday after spending six nights in Leicester Prison.
He had been jailed for refusing to pay a �60 fine after being caught by a speed camera travelling at 38mph in a 30mph zone in Codnor, Derbyshire, last January.
The 62-year-old told BBC East Midlands Today he would rather go back to prison than pay the fine, which has been increased to �400.
"I have made a stand and the thing is if I have to do it again I will.

"There is no doubt I will make that stand again."
Mr Harbon says he is protesting about what he claims is the use of the cameras to raise money.

He said the 30mph limit on the road where he was caught speeding was not clearly marked. "I have to find out if they are still going to go after me for the fine," said Mr Harbon.
"And if they are still going after me for the fine, I'm going to be going back in prison again."
The police and Derbyshire Safety Camera Partnership have denied using the cameras as a device to generate revenue.
They also pointed out that it is clearly spelled out in the Highway Code that areas with street lights are always 30mph zones.
Mr Harbon was met at Leicester Prison by a national newspaper and his brother, who drove him home.
