Man airlifted after mountain fall
A County Durham man was treated in hospital after being airlifted off a mountainside in Cumbria.

Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called to the 53-year-old at Swirral Edge on Helvellyn when he dislocated his shoulder in a fall on Saturday.

The Cumbria Air Amblance took him to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

The rescue team was later called to a walker, from Staffordshire, who had fractured his ankle on Helvellyn. He was also airlifted off the mountain.
