Father and son die in road crash
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and bailed over a road crash in which a father and son were killed.

Mark Bell, 40, the driver of a red Nissan Micra, and his 77-year-old father Cyril, died in the crash on the A595 near Whitehaven on Friday morning.

The two, from Queens Drive in Egremont, were killed when a Mitsubishi car collided with their vehicle on a bend in the road.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Second crash

It was the second fatal crash on Cumbria's roads on Friday - Christopher Graham, 19, from the Penrith area, was killed in a collision on the A66 near Keswick.

He died when his Ford Mondeo hit the central barrier and overturned. No other cars are believed to have been involved.

Graham, from the Penrith area, had worked on the rescue boat at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club for the past three years.
