Three people have been killed in two separate incidents on Cumbrian roads.

Two men were killed on the A595 near Whitehaven and a third died on the A66 near Keswick on Friday.

Cumbria Police released the name of a 19-year-old who died on the A66 when his Ford Mondeo hit the central barrier and overturned.

Christopher Graham, from the Penrith area, had worked on the rescue boat at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club for the past three years.

The two men killed in the accident on the A595 have not yet been identified.

'Caring man'

They died in a three-car collision near Mirehouse Road at the Westlakes Science Park at Whitehaven. Four other people were injured.

Mr Graham's sister Ann Benson said: "Christopher's interests included outdoor activities and pursuits and recently he had been climbing with his nephew and older brother James.

"He lived with me and my partner Ian and spent time with his grandmother Barbara at weekends.

"He was a kind, outgoing and caring young man, who would help anyone.

"He will be sadly missed by his family , close friends and everyone who knew him."
