Report highlights youths' needs
A group has been set up to review the needs of young people living in an area of Cumbria.

Eden District Council's Youth Scrutiny Review Group has produced a report on youth service provision in Eden for people aged 11 to 16.

During the fact-finding sessions members identified a number of gaps in services for youngsters.

These included lack of information and awareness about what is available to them, and problems with transport.

The report recommended improved transport options and the creation of an information and advice website to encourage youth service providers to work together.

The findings will now be referred to the council's relevant policy committees.
