Industrial action by bus drivers in parts of Cumbria, scheduled to start on Monday, has been called off. Members of the Transport and General Workers Union (T&G) who work for Stagecoach North West had planned to take part in a 24-hour strike.
But a Stagecoach spokeswoman said on Sunday that the industrial action had been called off and services would be operating as normal.
Drivers voted last month to strike in a row over pay.
Workers based at Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal and West Cumbria have been involved in the dispute.
T&G regional industrial organiser Alan McGuckin said: "By the time Saturday came, really there were some worrying cracks in the support.
"And despite the full support that would have been given by west Cumbria, it was decided rather than throw a group of people on to the barbed wire that it was unsustainable and we called the action off."
