The Conservatives have taken control of North Warwickshire District Council in the local elections, for the first time in more than 20 years. There had been no overall control on the council but the Tories gained six councillors. The Liberal Democrats lost all of their seats and Labour lost two. Following the declaration, the first in Warwickshire, the council is now made up of 21 Conservative councillors and 14 Labour members.
