What is thought to be Britain's biggest Tesco supermarket has opened in Coventry, creating up to 800 jobs. The Tesco Extra superstore, which is situated off the A444, is the first in the city to have an adjoining public library.
It will also sell electrical goods and crockery alongside food and drink.
The store, close to the new stadium for the city's football club, has caused concern for traders who are worried about the effect on business.

The 220,000 sq ft development includes a mall with 13 units which will house a public library and other shops.
Traders in Foleshill, Longford, Holbrooks and Bedworth have expressed their fears that the new development will take away their customers.
There are also concerns it will increase congestion on the A444, which is being widened to accommodate increased traffic from the new developments.
Coventry Arena - the new home of Coventry City FC - is due to be completed in 2005.
