Investigations are continuing into the cause of a plane crash on the Isles of Scilly, off Cornwall. Four people were on board the Piper aircraft which crashed as it tried to land at St Mary's Airport on Saturday.
One person was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro with a broken collar bone. The other three were treated at St Mary's hospital.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has been informed and is looking into what happened.
'Ground collision'
St Mary's Airport fire and rescue, police and ambulance were called to the scene and the airport was closed for a short time while the area was made safe.
Cornwall Fire Brigade said the light aircraft was coming in to land when it crashed at about midday on Saturday.
Police described it as a "ground collision" near the runway.
The Department for Transport's AAIB said its fundamental purpose was to improve aviation safety by determining the causes of air accidents and serious incidents, and making safety recommendations intended to prevent recurrence.
It said any investigation it carried out was not to apportion blame or liability.
