Calls for more affordable homes
Only half the required number of affordable homes are built every year in North Cornwall, according to a report for the district council.

Housing officials believe more than 800 new affordable homes are needed, but only about 400 are allocated each year.

The report also shows that house prices in the district have gone up substantially in recent months.

A flat costing 123,000 in April 2005, cost about 20,000 more than that in April 2006.
