Hospital charges set for big rise
Royal Cornwall Hospital
Staff permits will also increase
The Royal Cornwall Hospital's Trust is putting up long-stay car parking charges by as much as 320%.

From 1 July it will now cost 10 to park for more than four hours at the Treliske site in Truro.

Visitors will have to pay 1.70 to park for up to two hours, an increase of 50 pence. The fee for between two and four hours will increase to 3.

The hospital said the increase to 10 is to stop people parking there instead of paying higher charges in the city.

The charges will also apply at West Cornwall Hospital and at St Michael's in Hayle.

It is the first time visitors and staff have had to pay there.

Permits will also increase in price and staff will pay a fee according to the amount they earn.
