Fifteen affordable homes have been created in north Cornwall as part of a 1m development scheme. New tenants have already been found for the properties.
The area has a high proportion of second homes which has lead to a shortage of properties available to be rented by local residents.
The homes have been built at Camelford by Penwith Housing Association and have now been officially handed over to North Cornwall District Council.
Linda Spear, who is the chair of the council's community services, said affordable homes are one of the their key priorities.
