The speed awareness course will cost 60 to attend |
Speeding drivers are to be offered an alternative to three points on their driving licence, police have announced. A new national awareness course is being adopted by the Devon and Cornwall Police force.
Drivers can attend the course which will teach the dangers of speeding and enforce the message that driving too fast claims lives.
The course is not compulsory and motorists can opt for points on their licence and a fixed-penalty ticket.
They can also choose to have their case heard at court.
The speed awareness course will be based in a classroom and cost 60 to attend.
