Rick Stein: Change of plan |
TV chef Rick Stein's original plans for a house in the north Cornwall fishing port of Padstow have been withdrawn because of public objections.People living near the site at Mill Road said his proposed home - likened to the Berlin Wall by one resident - would ruin the area.
But the initial project will not now be put before North Cornwall councillors and new plans will be submitted instead.
The architect acting for Mr Stein, Ian Potts, says the fresh plans should overcome local objections.

"We've been advised by the planning officer that because we are making changes to the proposal that should form the subject of a new application," said Mr Potts.
"So we'll make changes, resubmit the application and progress from there."
Mr Stein, 56, and his wife Jill separated last year but continue to run their businesses together.
They have the Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, as well as a hotel, bistro, cafe, gift shop, delicatessen and a seafood school.
