About 150 people took part in the walk

Players and fans of Gloucester City Football Club are celebrating promotion by taking part in a sponsored walk.

The Tigers made the Blue Square South division after beating Farnborough. The club were last in the second tier non-league division in 2000.

"We've had fantastic season, and the walk is to enable us to make sure people are aware we are up and fighting," said manager Tim Harris.

The club are without a ground after losing theirs in the July 2007 floods.

The 5km Tiger Trail is raising money for the Meningitis Trust.
