Kenya's Simon Tonui won Sunday's Bath half marathon in a time of 63 mins 9 secs. Compatriot Joyce Kandia won the women's race in 71:49.

Tonui, brother of 2008 winner Raymond Tonui, led home a field of 10,900 in the 28th running of the event.

Organiser Andrew Taylor said: "There's something magical about this place that keeps people coming back - something lovely about Bath.

"People love doing these races and this is a great city to do it in," he said.

"I'm really grateful that people enjoyed it today as much as they did."
