Banksy fails to sell at auction

Morons
The picture entitled Morons did manage to fetch 5,250

Three prints by the guerrilla artist Banksy have failed to sell at auction.

Bomb Hugger, a girl hugging a missile, as well as Toxic Virgin, and Soup Can (Green), both estimated at 4,000 to 6,000, failed to sell.

Morons, a print that pokes fun at the art establishment, fetched 5,250 - 1,000 more than its estimate.

Napalm, based on the Pulitzer prize-winning image of a Vietnamese girl fleeing her village following a napalm attack, fetched 11,000.

The print CND Soldiers also went under the hammer for 3,750.

Tuesday's sale at Sotheby's also included a collection of rare prints by Henri Matisse.
