Traffic bosses quiz bus company
Passenger getting on to a First Bus
The company was previously fined for late-running buses
Bristol-based bosses of First Bus faced traffic commissioners on Friday at a public inquiry.

The move followed the discovery earlier this year that some bus drivers were leaving stops early in order to get back to a depot for meal breaks.

As a result First sacked more than a dozen drivers.

The problem was spotted by government inspectors who then checked the timings against the on board ticket machines which confirmed what was happening.

Last year First was fined by the commissioners for late running.

The hearing concluded on Friday afternoon but the results will not be made public for 28 days.
