Decision due for Rovers' new home
Fans
About 40,000 fans travelled to London for the big match
A decision on a new temporary home for Bristol Rovers football club is to be announced later this week.

The club's Memorial Stadium is being redeveloped to increase the capacity to 18,000 meaning the team will have to play its home games elsewhere.

The club's chief executive Bill Smith will announce whether the new base will be in Cheltenham or Swindon.

The team, which won promotion to League One football on Saturday, will be away from Bristol for about 18 months.

Mr Smith told BBC News the club had to consider the quality of facilities at the temporary home and the journey time for fans.

Rovers beat Shrewsbury Town 3-1 in the final at Wembley Stadium in London to win promotion.
