Fans lined the streets on Monday
Thousands of people lined the streets on Monday as Bristol Rovers took a victory ride through the city on an open-topped bus.

The team were celebrating after their play-off win on Saturday.

They beat Shrewsbury Town 3-1 in the final at Wembley and won promotion to League One.

The open-top tour left Warmley High Street at 1115 BST, before travelling through Kingswood and St George, then onto College Green.

There was also a civic reception planned at the council offices with the Lord Mayor.

About 40,000 fans travelled to Wembley for the game.
