Delay hits football club plans
Memorial stadium
Both parties are working to redevelop the Memorial Stadium
Bristol Rovers say their bid for cash to upgrade the Memorial Stadium is being hit by council delays.

The League Two club is applying for funding from the Football Foundation for the 3m development.

But the deadline is fast approaching and the club said it was waiting for the council to finalise a date to meet to discuss planning applications.

In a statement, Bristol City Council, said it was working with the club to make amendments to the application.

"Their architects sent us a CD on Monday that shows the sunlight impact of the proposed new development," the statement read.

"Having viewed this CD, there is some information still outstanding. As soon as we have received this, we will be very pleased to meet again with the club."
