Planners back new school scheme
Plans for a new secondary school in Bristol have been voted through to the next stage.

The new complex, to be built on a playing field off Redland Court Road, will cater for more than 1,400 pupils.

The scheme was backed by councillors at a meeting on Wednesday night and now needs government approval.

Councillor Claire Cook, responsible for Education and Children's Planning, said getting planning permission was an important part of the jigsaw.
