Motorists were not happy with the clamping |
Motorists clamped and fined after parking at an empty building in Bristol are to get an apology and a refund. About 60 vehicles were clamped, and fined 99 for their release, after parking at Tollgate House, off the M32.
Motorists say they thought they were doing so legally as there were no signs prohibiting parking.
The owners of the disused office block have since said that they did not authorise the parking company to operate on their land.
And the boss of the clamping firm - Security International - has now promised a full refund
Car clamping victim Claire Spearey said the news was "excellent".
"I am really pleased. It was so unjust when there were no warning signs."
