Credit union's lottery cash plea

A Berkshire credit union has appealed for residents to help it relocate to a new town centre building by nominating it for National Lottery funding.

Reading Credit Union, a local savings charity, has applied for a share of 5.5m from the People's Millions Big Lottery Fund, now due to be allocated.

The scheme is to award up to 50,000 to 89 organisations to improve the quality of life within communities.

People are being asked to vote on Wednesday by contacting the union.
