Crackdown on drink-related crime
A police force is starting a crackdown on alcohol-related anti-social behaviour over the Christmas period.

Operation Hangover is part of a six-month safer streets campaign being run by Thames Valley Police.

Police said the operation is an attempt to tackle drink-related violence, which increased by 18% in the area between April 2004 and March 2005.

Officers will take part in "high visibility patrols" and those who are drunk and disorderly will be fined.
