The scheme has been designed to tackle jams on the IDR |
Plans for a 9m transformation of a major town centre road which would make it one-way are to be outlined to residents so they can have their say. A series of public exhibitions on the inner distribution road (IDR) in Reading, Berkshire, are to be held.
Running throughout November, those being consulted include businesses, emergency services along with public transport chiefs.
The 9m plan hopes to reduct traffic congestion in the area.
It will also see the IDR's infamous concrete flyover demolished.
A consultation period required by law begins next year.
