The youngsters admitted 50 graffiti-related offences
Seven teenagers who have admitted 50 graffiti-related offences in Berkshire could be brought face-to-face with the victims of their crimes.

The boys, aged between 13 and 16, were behind the spate across Caversham Park Village and Emmer Green in Reading.

Police say they will be dealt with using the Restorative Justice scheme, which could include special conferences held with the victims themselves.

The youths admitted spraying graffiti on houses, walls and paths last year.

Parents' anger

As part of the investigation, 21 local youngsters were interviewed, with the seven admitting the offences during an interview with police.

PC Chris Manetta said: "The parents of the young offenders have been on the side of the police throughout this investigation.

"They realize how graffiti can have a threatening and detrimental impact on their neighbourhoods.

"I know that they are disappointed and angry at their sons' behaviour and want them to remove the graffiti damage they have caused."
