Up to 700 mourners have attended the funerals of two of three members of the same family shot dead at their home. It is thought Alan Pemberton shot his wife Julia, 47, and son William, 17, before turning the gun on himself in at their 1m family home in Hermitage, Berkshire.
Their daughter Laura, 19, was away at university at the time of the shootings on 18 November.
The funerals of Mrs Pemberton and William were held at Douai Abbey Church, Upper Woolhampton, Berkshire, on Wednesday.
'Irreplaceable loss'
They were both active members of the church community.
During the service, Maureen Breen paid tribute to her sister, Mrs Pemberton.
She said: "She was a precious gift in our lives entwined in the heart of each of us.
"We feel as a family with all her dear friends united in our grief for our irreplaceable loss."
She added: "The paradox is missing her because she is not here and yet, not missing her because she is ever present in our lives."
William was described as "a talented teenager, a gifted footballer and musician".
His band played one of his own songs for the congregation.
St Francis de Sales parish priest, Father Paul Townsend said: "The last couple of weeks have brought darkness to many. We have come here today for that darkness to be pierced."
Mr Pemberton, 48, a financial adviser from Bronze Ash, near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, was cremated at Easthampstead Crematorium, Crowthorne, Berkshire, on Thursday.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the three deaths.
