The Amy Winehouse scarecrow was made by a villager |
A life-size scarecrow of singer Amy Winehouse, complete with trademark beehive hair, make-up and tattoos, is on display in a Hertfordshire village. The model is among more than 100 standing guard in villagers' front gardens for a scarecrow festival in Flamstead, near Luton. Other celebrity representations include homemade homages to US golfer Tiger Woods and TV adventurer Bear Grylls. Hundreds of visitors are expected to vote for their favourite this weekend. The festival is now in its eighth year and raises money for the upkeep of the village church and a multiple sclerosis therapy centre.
